D.A.R.N., Delco Area Railroaders in
"N" is an NTRAK club located in the Delaware County, PA area.
Since our formation in 1987, we have grown to over 25 active members: men
and women, young and old, with a wide range of interests and backgrounds.
Some are die-hard railfans, some are meticulous modelers. We have members
that strive for prototypical operation, and others that just like to watch
the trains go!
Have more fun with
model railroading! There's bound to be someone in the club that can lend a
hand--whether you're building your first module, or superdetailing a
locomotive.
With over 150' of modules and more under construction,
the club travels to large and small train shows in the area and across the
country, and was the host club for the 1997 N-Scale East Convention in West Chester, PA.
We have also participated in 3 World Record layouts:
- Syracuse, NY (11/90) - 704'
- Valley
Forge, PA (8/93) - 1106' (Old
Record)
- Alexandria, VA (8/96) -
1200+' New Record!
D.A.R.N. is currently a not-for-profit corporation--
the first step on the way to full non-profit status.
